Chris Payten - Speech and Language Therapist
Chris graduated from University College London (UCL) in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree (with honours) in Speech Sciences.

He has completed postgraduate training in the specialist areas of dysphagia, surgical voice restoration post laryngectomy, fibre optic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) and videofluoroscopy.

Chris has worked as a specialist in the field of head and neck for five years and played an integral role in the development of the Head and Neck Speech and Language Therapy Services at UCLH.

Chris has undertaken research in the areas of dysphagia and quality of life after treatment of head and neck cancer.  He frequently lectures at a local and national level including the undergraduate degree programmes at City University and University College London.

Chris is the lead for audit within the Speech and Language Therapy Department at UCLH.
